Bernie McCabe was born and raised Florida. He and his wife Denise have two children. Bernie obtained his Bachelor of Arts in 1969 at Stetson University and his Juris Doctor, cum laude in 1972 at the Stetson University College of Law.
Bernie was elected State Attorney in September, 1992 and has been an Assistant State Attorney since 1972. From 1972 through September, 1992, he has held the positions of Chief Assistant State Attorney, Executive Assistant State Attorney, and Division Director in St. Petersburg and in Pasco County.
